In Memoriam … Sean Brown

It was February 2005 , when I interviewed at ReymannGroup. I remember coming into that basement office and meeting you and Trixie for the first time and feeling a bit nervous.

You greeted me with a warm handshake and winning smile. I remember thinking how cool it was that you got to bring “Goose” [your dog] to the office with you and how chill he was. I remember thinking how grateful I was that you and Trixie approved me as a good fit for the company.

Sean, you were always quick with a quip or an encouraging word depending on the situation. What you don’t know is that your good nature and warm friendship helped me to adjust to my new job.

We had so much fun and enjoyment in those days, we had such great laughs and food!! I will never forget the Friday BBQ’s and getting out of the office after lunch because Paul wanted to go fishing.

Sean, I can’t express how much I look up to you or what your friendship means to me. You one of the few friends that cared about me for who I was back then. I think that you would be proud of the man I am becoming, part of it is because of the excellent example that you set as a gentleman and scholar.

Your love of life and zest for it is still an inspiration to me. I will cherish the little time that we got had as friends on this earth. Meeting you at the Frederick, MD Gun Show is a cherished memory.

Sean, I texted you this year [yesterday now] for your birthday and when I didn’t get a response, I remembered that you didn’t respond last year either. So, I looked on Facebook and was surprised to see the messages left for and by your friends and family.

I jumped on Google and learned that it has been a year and half since you went to heaven. Sean, I mourn the times that I never reached out to you when we were visiting my In-Laws. You are a great friend and I look forward to seeing you again in heaven.

love, wil
